THE Japan Foundation’s JFF Theatre has unveiled its new line-up of films that have been split into four special features titled “Bridges Between Hearts”, “Delicious Tales of Happiness”, “When Passion Meets Comedy” and “Anime to Discover”.
The films in the line-up are:

I am what I am: A film about “being your own cheerleader” as a woman, uninterested in romance, seeks to find a life of freedom without outside judgement.
The God of Ramen: A moving documentary about a man who started a legendary ramen shop in Tokyo.
Bread of Happiness: A cafe in the middle of the great outdoors serves delicious bread and coffee to people with pain in their hearts. A humanistic drama that is sure to warm one’s heart.
School Meals Time Graduation: A food comedy about a teacher and a student who love school lunches, and together, appreciate the importance of food.
Project Dreams – How to Build Mazinger Z’s Hangar: Company employees are depicted earnestly grappling with meaningless things in this drama.
Jungle Emperor Leo, aka Kimba the White Lion: Osamu Tezuka’s monumental masterpiece that became the cornerstone of Japanese anime.
The JFF Theatre was launched last year as a free global streaming platform offering a diverse selection of Japanese films with multilingual subtitles. Established to meet the growing interest in Japanese cinema by a global audience, the platform regularly updates its line-up of films every few months.
